2017 Ford Escape - Tifton, Georgia
Empowering Your Escape
Ford knows that everyone’s vehicular needs are different, and that that extends under the vehicle’s hood. That’s why the 2017 Ford Escape comes with a choice of three different engines. Ironically, the largest engine for the Escape is also the least powerful: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that features intake variable cam timing to deliver 168 hp, 170 lb-ft of torque, and 21 mpg city and 29 mpg highway. Next after that is a turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine (with Auto Start-Stop) that delivers 179 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque while increasing fuel economy to 23 mpg city and 30 mpg highway. On top, though, is the crown jewel: a turbocharged 2.0-liter Twin-Scroll EcoBoost, delivering 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque while sipping 22 mpg city and 29 mpg highway.
Connecting to the World
The Escape unsurprisingly features Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system, featuring new hardware, new software, and a new design to allow you swift and intuitive access to your favorite apps like Pandora and navigation. However, the Escape doesn’t just help you connect to apps, it also helps connect to the world just outside the car, with Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support, both of which scan the area around your Escape to keep control.
