Located in central Georgia, Tifton is a small city with tons of heart. With a rich heritage and diverse community, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re looking for fine dining options or simple want to enjoy the scenery, you’ll be glad you visited Tifton.

Tifton has been around since 1872, an important stop for the regional railroad. Since then, the city has developed quite a legacy. Historic points of interest include the Magnolia Tree Park, home of some of the largest magnolias in the world. The Georgia Museum of Agriculture & Historic Village (a.k.a. Agrirama) is also located in Tifton. Since 1976, this museum has housed interesting displays and exhibits on farm life and the local peanut industry.

The Tifton Residential Historic District is also an important landmark in the area, and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2008. From 14th Street to Goff Street and 2nd Street and Forrest Avenue, this area is both beautiful and informative.

Looking for some fine dining? Fans of Asian cuisine can grab a bite at Asahi Express, or stop by Hog N Bones for some off-the-charts pork. Mi-Lady Bakery offers donuts and other sweets, and Pit Stop BBQ and Grill offers some classic good eats. Check out Trip Advisor for more information on restaurants.

Tifton is also home to the Georgia Peanut Commission, celebrating one of the state’s most famous products. Offering information on the significance of the peanut, tips for growing, and even some great samples, you can find all things peanut at the Georgia Peanut Commission.
